Published Layout!!!!! Yay, I'm super excited about this. This photo was taken May, 2006 at Old Town in Kissimmee, FL. Brad and I took Beka & Rachel to Disney that year and had a wonderful time... they were so little then!
Click HERE to go the magazine, Enchanting Creations. It's a fun, FREE, on-line, magazine you can browse 24/7. It's full of ideas, layouts, techniques and projects. The cool thing is that the majority of the layouts in Enchanting Creations are from their readers! Check it out!! My published layout is on page 28-29. Just use the arrows at the top of the page to scroll through the magazine.
Here's the layout that was published under their family theme in the November 2011 EC Issue.
It continues to be a busy week in our home.. Sari & Hannah STILL won't stay in bed after becoming roommates last weekend in preparation for our newest family member coming soon.
Hopefully, I'll get some creative time in this week. I've been putzing with baby announcements, but keep getting sidetracked. Ya think!
I'll be back soon. Thanks for stopping by again!

Memory Works October Challenge
Hello again my crafty friends~
I don't know about the weather where you are .... but what yucky weather in Kenosha, WI!! Lots of wind and rain here, but it made for a great day to be inside scrappin' with my girls! They had fun stamping with a fun Basic Grey/Hero Arts clear stamp set with a school bus, pencil and other fun school-themed images. I'll be posting about that this weekend!
It's challenge time again for us Memory Works Consultants. Here's my take on the October Challenge, which uses this page map to document some of our life's celebrations. I chose to scrap our recent outing to Petrifying Spring Park in Kenosha. We go every Fall around the same time to take our annual family pictures. This is how we celebrate Fall and the growth of our family.
....here's what I came up with.
I used Bella Blvd's new Finally Fall papers & chipboard, Bazzill card stock, We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy Tool, Blue Lagoon Baker's Twine and Tropical Foss, Color Box Dark Brown Chalk Ink, Ranger Perfect Pearls mist in Forever Red, Jillibean Soup Corrugated Butterflies (as a mask for misting & for embellies) and House, VersaColor Turquoise Chalk Ink for Butterflies, wood button, Petaloo Color Me Crazy Flowers (stamped with Hero Arts Friend Definition stamp using VersaColor Chalk Inks and sprayed with the same Forever Red Perfect Pearls), Simple Stories Life Documented Flash Card and a misc Family chip sticker I had in my stash.
You can also see the photo and paper sizes in the page map, which make this page very fast and easy to put together! Give it a try and share it! Go ahead, stay inside this weekend and do something creative!
Thanks for stopping by~

And the winner is....
Jolene Dustman!!! Congrats Jo!! You won a custom kit from yours truly. We'll chat this week to pick out your goodies!
I also have some exciting news to share with all of you. 1st, I won the September Memory Works Consultant Challenge for my altered frame & mini scrapbook page of Sari's 1st Day of 4K!! Yay!! It's actually pictured to the left as my gallery link!! The challenge was to use a REAL pencil on an altered item.
2nd bit of great news!! I'm getting published!!! Who-hoo!! It's an on-line magazine called Enchanting Creations. I'll be published in the November issue, with a Cosmo Cricket layout I did with the Circa 1934 line. The photo is from 2006 when Brad & I took Beka & Rachel to Florida. We had the old time photos taken that year and it was awesome!! It was fun to go back & scrap something from before Sari & Hannah (sorry girls, but there's LOTS scrapped about you so far). The October issue is still out, so I'll let you know when the November issue hits the net!

Here's the LO that will be published.
Lots of Cosmo Cricket, 12x12 Circa 1934 line (pictured below)!! I also used Jenni Bowlin Vintage Buttons, baker's twine, Maya Road cream mini rosette ribbon, cream tulle (Hobby Lobby), vintage lace & doilie (rummage sale find), Coordination's black cardstock, wood buttons in my Etsy Shop, Color Box Chalk in Blackbird to ink the edges and some misc stickers from my stash.
The flowers were made using the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut Cartridge and layered with the Cosmo papers, Coordination's cardstock, cream tulle and finished with a wood button & twine in the center.

If you haven't been published before, I encourage to you try!! There are many websites out there looking for scrappers to submit their work. Give it a try!!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

a few good...
PICTURES! Well, it's Thursday already and I'm still recovering from last weekends crop! Thank you to everyone who attended and especially to April Cruz and Nancy Smith who donated a portion of their sales along with me to the Susan G. Komen Foundation! I'm still doing some fundraising through the end of the month, but during the crop $97 was raised. I'll give you all a total at the end of the month also!
So, onto a few good pictures from the crop!
Yes, here's me actually working on something...(8 months prego!)
You still have through Saturday to leave a comment here on my blog or on my Facebook page, letting me know what you look for in a scrapbooking kit??
* Do you like single page kits with everything pre-cut?
* Larger kits with several coordinating papers, embellishments, ribbon and maybe a tool, stamp or ink pad?
I'll select ONE WINNER Sunday to receive a custom kit from me!
Well my crafty friends, that's all for now. I'll be back soon with some fun Halloween crafts and more!
Remember to do something creative today!

just popping in quick
...to ask you a question & to share a layout I did this week! My question is about KITS! What do you look for when purchasing a kit? Leave me a comment under this post before my crop this Saturday at 9am, telling me what are 'must haves' in a kit and you'll be entered to win... A custom kit from me!
... some thoughts: how many cardstock pieces? how many of the same piece of patterned paper? ribbon, twine, burlap string? inks or mists? LO ideas?
Bring on the comments! What matters to YOU?
And now for the LO.....There's lots of Studio Calico here! I added some scraps of October Afternoon papers I had, a cut apart Jenni Bowlin 5x7" Bingo card, Canvas Corp Mini Kraft Bag, May Arts 1/4" ribbons (red & brown check), wood buttons (in my Etsy shop!), and some burlap string.
A couple of my fav's are the fun chipboard clouds from Studio Calico. The chipboard clouds are very neutral in color, so I added some Mr. Huey's Mist in Bonny Blue to them. I didn't spray it on through..instead I sprayed a little in a cup and painted it on for a more even look. I also love the Studio Calico Tissue Scraps! I used the same color and painted the ink right onto the tissue scraps, then zapped it with my heat gun to dry it faster. I was being impatient yesterday! Then, I rolled the inked tissue around a Cosmo Cricket Gluber (like a huge glue dot!) and make the circle/flower.
The chipboard letters are also from SC. I left the journaling space blank for my sister to fill in when I give this LO to her!!
